Pendant Staffing – Our Story

Pendant Staffing, Inc. is owned by The Ensign Group, Inc (“TEG”). TEG was founded in 1999, and its subsidiaries provide skilled nursing, senior living and rehabilitative services at over 300 locations across the U.S. The people who provide care to the residents of the facilities within the TEG organization are its heart and soul. Their hard work dignifies long term care in the eyes of the world.

Since TEG’s beginning, its operators attempted to sponsor foreign nurses. Unfortunately, many of these sponsorships never materialized. Either due to the inexperience of the operator navigating the lengthy and difficult visa process or because of nurse recruiters who made promises they failed to deliver, this approach for recruiting new R.N.s was largely unsuccessful.

About six years ago, a small group of employees at TEG-affiliated operations and its Service Center became passionate about the promise of foreign nurse recruiting and sponsorship. Together they demonstrated through a pilot program that if done right, foreign nurse sponsorships was life changing not only for the nurse and the nurse’s family, but also for the facility staff and residents. This dedicated group became experts in the U.S. employment visa programs and started to work together to identify well-qualified and committed foreign nurses. They also learned how to engage in and cultivate supportive relationships with the sponsored nurses to ensure their journey was as seamless as possible.

Pendant Staffing, Inc. is the product of these lessons. Our small team, with decades of clinical leadership, legal and recruiting/human resources experience, is now fully dedicated to matching foreign nurses to Ensign-affiliated operations who are ready to welcome them.

My name is Julie Uychiat, and I am a registered nurse. Currently, I embrace the role of assisting with foreign nurse recruitment for our organization. Hailing from Negros Occidental in the Philippines, I moved to the United States after graduating from college to follow my dream of becoming a registered nurse.

With over 23 years dedicated to Ensign Services, I have experienced tremendous growth in my nursing career. I've held impactful positions, such as Director of Nursing, Clinical Resource Nurse, and Director of Clinical Services, overseeing operations across multiple states. In my current role, I am passionately committed to helping others achieve their American dream by building an organization dedicated solely to foreign nurse recruitment- Pendant Staffing.
